Nail Clipping
Nail clipping services for the pets
Pets of all species can need help with their nails from time to time during their lives – and keeping their nails in good condition can be crucial for their health and wellbeing.
Many species – from cats, dogs and rabbits to exotic species, including birds and reptiles – have evolved with their nails wearing down through the rough and tumble of life in the wild.
In domestic settings this wear and tear may not take place, leading to nails growing excessively long, which can cause mobility issues and injury.
It is possible for owners to clip the nails of pets at home, but it is important that you know what you are doing, and avoid clipping the quick, which provides blood to the nail bed and will bleed profusely and cause pain to your pet if nicked.
Of course, it may be difficult to clip your wriggly pets’ nails at home! That’s why we’re here to help.
For a small charge, our nurses can take care of your pets’ nails, and instruct you on how best to care for them.
And for our Pet Health Club members the service is free!
