Laboratory services: In-house tests at Pennard Vets
Outsourcing laboratory diagnostics can prove both expensive for clients and slower for patients, with tests having to be posted to external sites and results having to be obtained and returned before a diagnosis can be reached by your vet.
That’s why we’re happy to provide our own laboratory service in-house, with an extensive range of tests facilitated on-site.
With quicker results, we have a better chance of quickly diagnosing and treating your pet, with potentially life-saving implications.
What laboratory tests can we offer?
Our facilities include:
- A modern biochemistry analyser, allowing us to monitor organ function
- A haematology machine, which counts red and white blood cells
- A range of laboratory tests, allowing us to further aid diagnosis
- Microscopy, allowing us to examine samples in more detail
As well as our in-house services, we may occasionally use professional veterinary laboratories for particularly complex or in-depth tests. We will always consult you before taking this route, and only use the best external labs, for fast response times and a premium service.
