Mobility: Helping to keep your pet moving
Just like with humans, injuries can happen, and as pets get older they can find it harder to get around, as joints start to creak and the body struggles to do things it did when it was younger.
Our nurses run mobility clinics, where they can give advice and treatment to help pets to lead a healthier, more comfortable life.
This can be by helping to relieve aching joints, recommending a weight loss plan or a specialist diet, or providing medical laser therapy.
Hydrotherapy
Pets with mobility issues may struggle to exercise in their normal way, which can then lead to weight problems and the resulting health concerns that raises.
If this is the case, hydrotherapy can be a useful service to consider, as a means of exercise for pets without putting pressure on their joints.
For your pet to make use of this service, they must first receive a referral from one of our vets – talk to one of our team to find out how to go about this. Clients with any of our branches can make use of the service.
